Is it true that you can salvage Ecto from Demonic remains? Someone I was questing with told me they got one, but I find it hard to believe.

Yes ecto is one of the possible rare salvage outcomes of expert salvage on Demonic remains, also on Ghostly remains - Phantom residue and Shadowy remnants according to the GW guide. Please note the term rare. But isn't it worth a try to get the ectos?

Steel ingot is supposed to be a rare one within staves and stuff, but salvaged three out of 1 staff.. So it'd give it a try!

What about Dark Remains? Would those Rare Salv as Obsidian Shards? All I get is crummy piles of 14 dust.

I never got ecto from these items and I always use expert salvage on them.

I think I tried it like 20 or 30 times since that is what I mostly get when I go to UW or FoW
